All the matches were affected by the weather last weekend but all reached a conclusion and Heyside with an open date, still head the league table but only three points ahead of Hollinwood, Riaz scoring 64 in their win at Stayley.
Moorside in third place, albeit thirty points behind the Tameside club, kept up their challenge, Richard Baines scoring 79 not out in their win over the other Tameside club, Droylsden.
No outstanding performances at Uppermill in the derby match with Saddleworth which resulted in an emphatic win for the home side.
Greenfield’s Ben Johnson took 5 wickets for 55 runs against Glodwick but couldn’t stop Nigel Stock scoring 70 not out and piling on the agony as they passed Greenfield’s total with three wickets to spare. Glodwick’s Professional, Imran Aslam had the day’s best bowling return with figures of 7 for 65.
The weather caused the match at Friarmere against Bamford Fieldhouse to end in controversy with the Friarmere players walking off the pitch. However, the match was awarded to the Rochdale club for whom, Lincoln Roberts hit the only century of the day.
Pervudu Seneviratne scored 89 for Austerlands in their total of 233 for 9, the highest innings score of the day. Opening bowler Andy Young, then took 5 for 35 to end Shaw’s innings over a hundred runs short of the requirement
